No, you do not need previous experience to try our groups. Our groups are community-based, which means everyone is allowed to try the group. There are no auditions.

Yes, you can join! Many of our members don’t read music, and we teach all songs during rehearsals. We also provide practice videos to help you learn your part by ear. Additionally, we introduce basic music-reading skills in rehearsal, so over time, you’ll develop a foundational understanding of reading music.

Membership in the group is 33€ per month, which comes to around 8€ per rehearsal. This fee helps cover rehearsal and performance venue rentals, staff compensation, and music licensing costs. You’re invited to attend two trial rehearsals before deciding to join officially, and membership can be canceled at any time. Members also enjoy complimentary access to quarterly webinars, hosted by industry professionals, that explore a wide range of choir-related topics, from basic to advanced concepts.

If you feel comfortable having basic conversations in English, then you will have no problem in our choir.

To ensure the safety of our choir community, we don’t publicly share exact rehearsal locations. However, all rehearsal venues are centrally located and easily accessible by public transportation. Before your first day, we’ll provide you with detailed directions to make your journey smooth and straightforward.

Yes! Everybody is welcome as long as you are comfortable in an English-Speaking environment.

Yes! We’re always happy to welcome new people to try out the choir.

For the safety of our members and to help with rehearsal planning, all guests must provide their name and email address to our administration. They’re welcome to attend up to two rehearsals for free before deciding whether to join as an official member.

As a member, you'll have access to the exclusive IEC member section, where you can connect with others in the community, watch quarterly webinars led by professionals, attend special IEC social events, share feedback with your choir committee, and explore additional learning resources. You'll also be able to suggest songs, vote on what we sing, and join our lively WhatsApp group to stay in the loop and chat with fellow members.

IEC choirs perform 3-4 times per year locally. IEC choirs combine once a year with other choirs in their region to give a large-scale concert with a rock band, orchestra, and lights, on a big stage.

No, the group is in no way affiliated with any religion. We rehearse and perform often in churches because they have large spaces with a piano and they are often very supportive of our goal of starting communities.
